Clinical Recommendations and Models of Care for Newcomer Children

Wednesday, December 15, 2021

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Over the past 10 years there has been an increase in the forced displacement and migration of children, both unaccompanied and in family units. Several factors contribute to the pre-migration, migration, and post-migration experience that impact health. As more immigrant children resettle in the area and present in the clinical setting, it is important that we understand these adverse exposures related to migration and provide appropriate screening and care for their physical, mental, and social well-being. Please join us for a review of clinical recommendations for the immigrant child and a discussion about how different clinics have incorporated this into their approach.
