The Division of General Pediatrics at UCSF and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals is recruiting a Division Chief at the Associate or Full Professor rank in the Clinical X, HS Clinical, or In Residence faculty series. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
The Division Chief will lead a diverse and growing faculty group across the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and will guide strategy across UCSF’s missions of clinical care, education, research, and community engagement. The role includes oversight of clinical programs, faculty development, educational initiatives, and population health efforts with a focus on pediatric primary care and serving high-need and underserved communities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• MD or equivalent and eligibility for California medical licensure
• Board eligibility in Pediatrics
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience
• Commitment to advancing equity, respect, and belonging in academic medicine
Preferred Qualifications:
• Board certification in Pediatrics
• Record of excellence in clinical care, teaching, or mentoring
• Experience in program development or health systems improvement
Salary: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $161,700–$344,400. This position is also eligible for additional compensation through the health sciences compensation plan.
