SONJA SWENSON, MD, FAAP – Climate Change and Child Health Committee Chair
Sonja Swenson is currently a 3rd year Pediatrics resident at University of California San Francisco (UCSF). She has been a contributing author on Climate Resilient California Schools: A Call to Action, a state policy roadmap to guide California public schools in becoming more sustainable and better prepared to address climate change’s impact on students’ health and education. Sonja is a lifelong resident of the Bay Area and a mother to two young children. She is co-leading the Climate Change and Child Health Committee because she is hopeful about the role pediatricians can play as climate advocates.
