JENNIFER MILLER, MD, FAAP – Contra Costa / Solano Area Director
Dr. Jennifer Miller is a general pediatrician in private practice at East Bay Pediatrics, in Orinda and Berkeley. Although she is a Los Angeles native, she has been in the Bay area for almost 25 years since completing her residency and Chief Residency, at Children’s Hospital Oakland, aka UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. Dr. Miller completed medical school at Charles Drew/UCLA School of Medicine and obtained her undergraduate degree at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been a member of the AAP since starting her residency in 2000. She has been actively involved in the AAP nationally, as a member of the Committee on Residency Scholarships as well as a long tenure on the Executive Board of the National Planning Group. She currently serves on the Planning Group for the Course on Mental Health for the General Pediatrician.
Dr. Miller is honored to serve as the area director for Contra Costa and Solano Counties. While she has been actively engaged with the AAP at a national level, she is eager to increase her involvement at the chapter level, focusing on health equity, access to care, and improving workforce diversity through medical education. Dr. Miller is passionate about improving the mental and physical health of adolescents and young adults and is looking forward to continuing the strong work of her colleagues in the chapter.
Dr. Miller is married and has a teenage daughter. She loves spending time with family and friends, reading, watching movies and traveling.
