SANA SAYYID, MS – Project Coordinator

Sana Sayyid recently earned her Master of Science in Health Policy and Law, jointly conferred by UC College of Law, San Francisco and University of California, San Francisco. Through this interdisciplinary program, she developed a strong foundation in healthcare systems, policy analysis, and the legal frameworks that shape equitable access to care. Her graduate training reflects a deep commitment to advancing health equity and driving meaningful change at the systems level.
She currently serves as a Project Coordinator with the American Academy of Pediatrics, California Chapter 1, where she supports program development, stakeholder engagement, and community partnerships focused on improving pediatric health outcomes across California. Her work aligns closely with her interests in advocacy, policy, and expanding access to care for underserved populations.
Sana earned her undergraduate degrees from University of California, Davis, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. During her time at UC Davis, she was actively involved in student leadership and service, including roles with the American Medical Women’s Association and Doctors Without Borders student chapters. She also gained clinical exposure through volunteer work in the emergency department at UC Davis Medical Center and at Shifa Community Clinic in Sacramento.
Her undergraduate experiences sparked a lasting passion for advocacy and community engagement, further demonstrated through leadership roles such as Orientation Student Manager and Student Advisor to the Chancellor. In recognition of her impact, Sana received the Social Justice and Inclusion Award and was selected as a Commencement Student Speaker.
Outside of her professional work, Sana enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading fantasy fiction, bullet journaling, and going on long walks.
