Chapter Secretary
KERRILYN RICE, MD FAAP – Secretary

Dr. Rice completed her pediatric residency at Stanford University and earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During her time at UCSF, she also completed the Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US), a specialized track dedicated to addressing health disparities and serving underserved communities. She further advanced her expertise by earning a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Child and Maternal Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Currently, Dr. Rice is a pediatric hospitalist at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, California, where she holds several key leadership roles within the Graduate Medical Education department. She serves as the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine Fellowship Program and acts as an Academic Coach for the Pediatric Residency Program. Beyond her commitment to medical education, Dr. Rice is deeply passionate about child advocacy and advancing health equity.
Dr. Rice is honored to serve as Secretary for her local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, where she is eager to contribute her skills, experience, and dedication to furthering the chapter’s mission. She looks forward to collaborating with colleagues and mentors to advocate for the health and well-being of all children.
