ELIZABETH GRADY, MD, FAAP – Mental Health Committee Co-Chair

Elizabeth Grady, MD, FAAP is a dedicated pediatrician with over 25 years of experience serving diverse communities in the Bay Area. She has been a Staff Physician at the South San Francisco Clinic of San Mateo Medical Center since 2001, after beginning her career at the Belle Haven Clinic in 1995. Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 1995, Dr. Grady is deeply committed to supporting children’s health, development, and well-being.

An active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) since 1992, Dr. Grady participates in multiple sections and councils, including the Section on Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, the Council on Children with Disabilities, and the Council on Healthy Mental and Emotional Development. She previously served as Member-at-Large for San Mateo County with AAP California Chapter 1 (2017–2021). Her passion for neurodiversity and mental health extends beyond clinical care—she serves on the organizing committee for the Stanford Neurodiversity Summit, is faculty for the Stanford Neurodiversity Project Research, Education and Advocacy Camp for high school students, and is an active member of the Bay Area Autism Consortium.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Grady combines her love for health and the arts through her work as a longtime board member of Diamano Coura West African Dance Company and as a member of the National Organization for Arts in Health. Fluent in French and Spanish, and competent in German and Japanese, she brings a multicultural perspective to her work and advocacy. She is a Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honoree and a recipient of the Moses Grossman Award for Community Pediatrics.
